Client Recruiting Process

JMB Search Associates delivers highly specialized, targeted recruitment services to our clients, tailored to fit the uniqueness of each and every client requirement. We strive to understand all the intricate details of our clients’ needs. We recognize that our clients place a premium on hiring the right professionals for their organizations, in order to grow their business. All of our client requirements are treated with urgency, care, professionalism, and confidentiality.

This is how we work:

JMB Search Associates Client Recruiting Process

  1. Initial Consultation/Requirement Discussion: The first step of our client recruiting process involves a 15-20 minute telephone consultation, where we can gain a thorough understanding of your requirement. Some of the information that will help us identify appropriate candidates for your requirement includes:

    • Duties and Responsibilities of Position
    • Skills Required
    • Compensation Range
    • Reason position is open
    • Interviewing process

  2. Candidate Sourcing/Screening: After the Initial Consultation/Requirement Discussion, we immediately start our Candidate Sourcing/Screening process. We strive to maintain long term relationships with the top Sales and Marketing professionals in the industry, and are consistently networking with these professionals to continually increase our candidate pool. We also make every effort to thoroughly screen all of our candidates, to make sure that we present you with fully qualified candidates that are a match for your position. Before any candidate is submitted to you, the following actions take place:

    • Candidate meets in person with a JMB Search Associates Recruiter
    • Professional Reference Check is conducted
    • Complete discussion of client requirement with candidate, as well as candidate’s qualifications relative to the requirement
    • Email or Fax verification by candidate that they are interested in pursuing client opportunity, and are giving JMB Search Associates sole permission to represent them to client for this position

  3. Candidate Submission/Interview Scheduling: After we complete our Candidate Sourcing/Screening process, we will submit appropriate candidates to you and start the interview scheduling process. When you receive a candidate submission from JMB Search Associates, you will be provided with the following:

    • Professional Resume
    • Detailed assessment of candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, as related to your requirement
    • Candidate compensation requirements
    • Candidate availability to interview and start new position
    • Any non-proprietary work product or documentation that you may require

    After candidates have been submitted, we follow up with you and the candidate to set up a mutually convenient time for you both to meet.

  4. Interview Debrief/Offer Process: After the interview takes place, a thorough debrief is done by JMB Search Associates with both client and candidate. We first speak with the candidate immediately upon completion of the interview. During this conversation with the candidate our objective is to assess the following:

    • Candidate interest in your opportunity
    • Potential obstacles that could prevent candidate from accepting your position
    • Reconfirmation of candidate compensation requirements

    After gaining this information from the candidate, we then speak with you to get interview feedback from your perspective. If you have interest in extending an offer to the candidate, we discuss all details pertaining to that offer, and make a recommendation regarding compensation needed to secure candidate. After receiving details of your offer, we begin the process of extending the offer to the candidate and securing that candidate for you and arranging a start date.

  5. Joint review of completed process: After your requirement has been filled(by JMB Search Associates or another source), we ask that you spend 5 minutes with your JMB Search Associates Representative to discuss the recently completed process from your perspective. At JMB Search Associates, we place a very high premium on the feedback we receive from our clients. Let us know what worked and what didn’t work for you on your recently completed candidate search. We are always looking for ways to improve our service, and we rely on candid feedback from our clients to help point out areas where we are doing well, as well as areas where we can improve.

What you should expect from JMB Search Associates
  1. Professional Courtesy: We will return every one of your calls and emails. You should expect a high level of professional courtesy when working with JMB Search Associates.

  2. Honesty: We will represent all candidates accurately and honestly, disclosing all strengths and weaknesses of each candidate relative to your requirement to the best of our knowledge. We will not misrepresent any candidate in any way. Every candidate that is submitted to you by JMB Search Associates will be properly screened, and will have given permission to us to submit their resume to you for your requirement.

  3. Feedback: We will provide timely candidate feedback to you after every candidate you interview. If you have interest in moving forward with a candidate, you can be sure that JMB Search Associates will do everything possible to secure that candidate for your opportunity. If there are any potential obstacles to a candidate accepting your position, you will be informed as soon as we are aware of the issue. You should never feel like you have been “left hanging” when you have an interest in extending an offer to a JMB Search Associates candidate.

  4. Market Knowledge: We will keep in regular contact with you (if you desire) to keep you informed of changes in the job market, as well as any new candidates that may be a match for your company. At JMB Search Associates, we place a high value on building lasting, long term relationships with our candidates. We are constantly in dialogue with Sales and Marketing professionals, and are consistently gaining new information regarding the job market that may be beneficial to you.
What JMB Search Associates expects of our Clients

As we work together to fill your job requisition, we ask the following of you:

  1. Accurate, Complete Job Description: We ask that you provide us with a complete and accurate description of the position you are looking to fill. It is important for us to fully understand all the intricate details of your requirement, so we can find an appropriate candidate for you.

  2. Professional Courtesy: We ask that you return our calls and emails in a timely manner. We will not waste your time with unnecessary communication. If we contact you, it is because we have important information that we need either to convey to you or obtain from you. Prompt exchange of vital information is essential in the resume submission/interview process. We have found that the more communication that occurs during the resume submission/interview stage between JMB Search Associates and our clients, the quicker client positions become filled.

  3. Updates: We ask that you keep us informed as to any changes that occur during your efforts to fill your position (offers to other candidates, other interviews scheduled, changes to job description, etc.) as soon as they occur. We understand that each client needs to aggressively pursue all options when filling a position – all we ask is that you let us know of any changes on your end, so that we can properly inform our candidates.

  4. Feedback On Us: We ask that you provide us with feedback on US, and your experience with JMB Search during your candidate search. We are constantly looking to improve our service – if you see ways that JMB Search can improve our service, please let us know.
